This is physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a therapeutic discipline that aims to help people of all ages to improve, restore or maintain their mobility, strength and function. This is done through targeted exercises, manual techniques and physical measures that are individually tailored to the patient’s needs and complaints. Physiotherapists work with people who are restricted in their ability to move due to injury, pain or illness and help them to build up or regain stability and resilience in order to manage their everyday lives independently and improve their quality of life in the long term.

Indications for physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is used for a variety of complaints and illnesses. The aim is to reduce pain, improve mobility and stabilize physical function in the long term. Different forms of physiotherapy are used depending on the diagnosis and individual needs.

Orthopaedic complaints

For back, shoulder, knee or hip complaints, we rely on a combination of manual therapy, targeted training therapy and individual pain therapy. Additional support is provided by therapeutic massage, balance training, Schroth therapy for scoliosis and geriatric physiotherapy for age-related limitations.

Neurophysiotherapy

Specialized Bobath physiotherapy, supplemented by exercise therapy and balance training, helps with neurological diagnoses such as stroke or Parkinson’s disease. The aim is to improve coordination, muscle control and independence in everyday life.
The Bobath concept works on reintroducing physiological movement patterns. Targeted exercises are used to improve body awareness and gradually restore lost functions.

Postoperative rehabilitation

After operations – on the knee, hip or shoulder, for example – physiotherapy supports the restoration of mobility and resilience. Manual therapy, training therapy and balance training are used here in particular.
Treatment is structured and adapted to the healing process. The aim is to reduce swelling, regain mobility and safely build up the muscles

Sports injuries

In sports physiotherapy, we treat acute injuries and overuse injuries with manual therapy, targeted training therapy and sport-specific concepts such as Orthosport. The aim is a safe and structured return to sport. This involves not only treating the injured structure, but also analyzing the entire movement pattern. A clear return-to-sport strategy ensures a safe increase in load.

Respiratory physiotherapy

Respiratory physiotherapy supports the improvement of lung function and respiratory mechanics through targeted breathing exercises and mobilization of the chest. It helps to alleviate breathing difficulties, promote secretion clearance and sustainably increase physical resilience. Special breathing techniques, stretching positions, thoracic mobilization and exercises to strengthen the respiratory muscles are used.

Gynecological complaints

Gynaecological complaints can occur at various stages of life – for example during pregnancy, after childbirth or following surgery. They often affect the pelvic floor and manifest as pain, instability or functional limitations.
We offer the following physiotherapy services in this area:

Pediatric physiotherapy

Pediatric physiotherapy is aimed at children and adolescents and supports age-appropriate motor development, posture and coordination. It helps with developmental delays, postural abnormalities, balance problems or after injuries and operations. Through playful, individually adapted exercises, we promote the joy of movement, stability and self-confidence in everyday life.

Advantages of physiotherapy

  • Holistic improvement of mobility:
Physiotherapy helps to mobilize restricted joints and restore natural movement sequences – for more freedom in everyday life.
  • Reduction of acute and chronic pain:
Targeted physiotherapeutic treatment can effectively reduce muscular imbalances, incorrect strain and inflammatory processes.
  • Building stability and muscle strength:
Individual training therapy strengthens the muscles and improves joint stability – important after injuries, operations or overuse.
  • Faster rehabilitation after injuries or operations:
Physiotherapy accelerates the healing process and supports a safe return to everyday life, work or sport.
  • Improve posture and body awareness:
Targeted exercises correct poor posture and prevent long-term complaints.
