Biography

Marie Eckert began her training as a physiotherapist at the state vocational school at LMU Munich Hospital in 2021. The intensive practical work in everyday clinical practice still shapes her therapeutic approach today: it helps Marie to better understand healing processes after operations and to tailor treatments to the individual needs of her patients. She has also trained in manual lymphatic drainage in order to provide optimal support for people in the post-operative phase.

During an internship in pediatrics, Marie discovered her particular enjoyment of working with children. Therapeutic work in this area feels completely natural to her. At the same time, she appreciates the diversity – and enjoys working with people of all ages. For Marie, good therapy is always a combination of professional clarity and a dose of creativity. Depending on the patient, this can be very structured, but also playful and light. It is precisely this range that makes the profession so lively for her.

Her experience from voluntary work with children and young people also supports her in the treatment of young patients. She has in-depth knowledge of scoliosis therapy for children and adolescents from a previous practice that specialized in this field. Marie is currently completing her bachelor’s degree while working and is planning to follow this up with a master’s degree in psychomotor skills/motology in order to combine movement, perception and emotional development in an even more holistic way.

In her free time, Marie enjoys dancing, bouldering and expressing her creativity in a variety of ways.
